Time for an unapologetic non-gaming blog post. Today is a major milestone because my little girl has turned 18! Late on New Years Eve 1995 my first daughter, Sarah, was born. I knew she would turn our life upside down - in a good way - the moment I saw her, and she hasn't disappointed! The years have rolled by and she has graduated from being my first Padawan into a fine Jedi with big ambitions and some well honed gaming 'skillz'. Now she becomes an adult... and by god I feel old!!
|18 years ago...back when I had hair and none of it was grey!!!|
I hope your not calling your daughter a Bad Habit, Lee??? My eldest is 21, you think you feel old!!!ReplyDelete
Not my daughter, my non-gaming post. No doubt Fran will roll his eyes and mutter something derogatory about me when he reads it!Delete
Many congratulations to mum, dad and of course your grown up daughter for making it this far! Have a great time - we did when ours turned 18 a couple of weeks ago!
All the best for 2014.
Thanks mate, the whole family are helpig with the preperations so I'm sure it'll go smoothly and we can find some time to enjoy the event.Delete
You cant feel old Lee, My eldest is 24 and I become a Granddad in about 10 days that makes you feel oldReplyDelete
But you look like a Gramps....or is that a Grump? LolDelete
Congratulations on the imminent grandfatherhood! Mid January is a good time to have a baby, trust me when I say that New Years Eve was not. My poor wife had a hard time of it and mostly without pain relief because all the Doctors and Anesthetists were on Holiday (I kid you not!).
Happy 18th Sarah!ReplyDelete
Lee - you're only as old as the woman you feel, so stop molesting pensioners! ;)
Pensioner...we'll be lucky. The Governement keep moving the bloody goalposts!
Congrats to all! Happy Birthday, happy new year, happy 2014!ReplyDelete
Congratulations to all, Lee!... I know the feeling, my daughter turned 18 last June tooReplyDelete

Congrats to Sarah and yourselves as parents too. My eldest got his first job yesterday and it rapidly approaching 18 as well. You're not alone sir, by any stretch of the imagination. Now get back to your painting desk you lazy bugger!ReplyDelete
My son is 18 also and off at University. This whole getting older thing has some drawbacks but it is better than the alternativeReplyDelete

Happy New Year Lee.ReplyDelete
