Interesting and reflective post Lee.
ReplyDeletewill have a proper watch... so apologies if this is covered. A big difference between Salute and other conventions is population density - 9million in london, 9 million in South East. Personally its too expensive (Overnight stay, Trade stand cost, Travel = £500 at least ) to make a profit at. I know Im not alone in the 'northern' traders who think that and there are less and less attending from the north. It is a 'sucessful' southern large show -(Though I would expect more numbers given the population densities) and Im looking forward to seeing how success is measured :-) ...
ReplyDeleteThanks, watched it now. Interesting point about a product launch - a lot of companies I know treat it as the place to launch a new range or game in a way they dont treat other shows they attend. Still think those numbers of visitors are low for the population density in the south.
