They Died for Glory: Rules flip-through and Review

They Died for Glory is a set of rules written specifically for wargaming the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-71. This turning point in the development of modern warfare can be dramatically recreated on the game table with this easy-to-learn ruleset. Designed for 15mm figures the rules can accommodate larger or smaller scales and make refighting huge battles possible for any wargamer.

  1. Enjoyed your review Lee. These are probably my favourite published rules in my small collection, and have never failed to produce a game that both sides enjoyed. And keeps everyone involved in the game all the time.
A critic might comment on a lack of command and control rules. However, these are easily introduced if one wants. Plus, once play begins the players have tended to provide their own friction. Why add in something that is already there.

  2. They are a great set of rules, that gives a brilliant battle feel.

Thank you for leaving a comment. I always try to reply as soon as I can, so why not pop back later and continue the conversation. In the meantime, keep rolling high!
