I would also recommend War in the Desert by James Lucas. This covers the whole of the North Africa Campaign but is probably the best book I have read on the subject. Lastly I'd suggest Tank Battles in Miniature: A Wargamers' guide to the Western Desert Campaign in 1940-1942 by Donald Featherstone as one the best campaign specific wargaming books I have ever read.
